Who We AreFinding meaningful relationships can be difficult in Lakeland and the surrounding communities, so Christ Community wants to be a place that you and you whole family can connect with others. No matter where you are in your spiritual journey, whether a curious seeker or a committed believer or somewhere in between, there's a place for you here at Christ Community. We don't believe that you have to have your life together before you come to God. So if you are new to this area and are looking for a church home, I pray that you'll find it here at Christ Community. Our hope is to provide relevant yet reverent worship services, a strong community life, and to create a culture where we love and serve each other and the community around us. Even though we are a new church, we want to see God use us in word and in deed to see the city of Lakeland change.
VISION
Christ Community exists to be a worshipping community for the glory of God, perpetually spreading the gospel to ourselves and throughout our city, resulting in a movement of churches and ministries that will change Lakeland and the world. CORE VALUE The Gospel changes everything: The Gospel is both the bad news of our brokenness and separation from God, and it is also the good news that Christ came to renew us through His death on the cross (Romans 6:23). Jesus does not tweak us but He makes us new: a new heart (Ezekiel 36:26), a new status (Romans 5:1&2), and a new community (I Peter 2:10). We believe that the Gospel is God's explosive power that changes everything: lives, communities and cities (Romans 1:16). We believe that the Gospel is the solution for both Christians and non-Christians, in that it initially and continually brings us back to our need for a Savior, responding to Him in repentance and faith (Colossians 2:6&7).This perpetual turning to our Savior in repentance and faith creates vitality for believing the Gospel personally in our hearts and it generates an outward focus of becoming the Gospel to others (Titus 2:13 -14). DENOMINATIONAL AFFILIATION Christ Community Presbyterian Church belongs to the Presbyterian Church in America, a denomination holding to the historic Christian faith, committed to planting new churches in North America and ministering the gospel around the world.
